Open Your Eyes letra

Elections are won with a few choice speeches
By senile, out-of-touch, human leeches
Who use false words and political cliches
To grab what they can and fill their breeches

Positions of power
Positions of power

Charities are meant to help those in need
To love, shelter, clothe and feed
But they only satisfy their greed
Of a callous, uncaring, bureaucratic breed

Positions of trust
Positions of trust

Open your eyes and see for yourself
Open your eyes, why don't you open your eyes?

The papers are run by fat businessmen
Who's interest in the truth means nothing to them
They twist the facts with a poison pen
Cheap sensationalism should make news at ten

Positions of influence
Positions of influence

It's the Jimmy Jones' who need religion
Cause they can't make their own decisions
They're ruled by archaic and dated visions
And generally the victims of their own innovations
